Jack Cafferty interviews George McGovern:

It will be easier to elect a black man president than a woman.

Those are the words of former senator and 1972 Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern.

Yes, now there’s a fellow who knows all about how to get elected President!

Now, what was the problem for him again? He was black? Or a woman?

Oh, that’s right. He was running against that heartwarming charmer, Richard M. Nixon!

Right. Okay, now… you were saying, Senator?
