Here’s a map in case you need help visualizing “the area” Caroline needs to win over as she ventures off Manhattan Island:
Actually I here she’s very big in Schenectady.

She’d better be careful, there are bears up there. And no taxis…

Actually I hear she’s very big in Schenectady.
Are you saying she’s fat?
Ron Coleman said
No, not at all. Just the gravity’s different up there.

I still remember when we visited my grandfather’s farm on a hillside a few miles from Hobart. IIRC Hobart is close to Oneonta. This was in the mid-50′s, and he was quite pleased with himself for his recent purchase of an automatic conveyor system to load the manure spreader with manure from the trench in the dairy barn. I’d bet you a dollar that the farm’s still there, not so much as to whether its owner makes a living farming. The state of New York has a lot of places that aren’t very close to New York City; I wonder if that has anything to do with the lack of New York congresspersons who move up to the Senate, rather than people like Kennedy and Schlossberg.

Okay, I meant Clinton and Schlossberg.
