Michael Shanks

Michael Shanks is my idea of a great intellectual. And I don’t even know the guy. But you can click anywhere on this website and learn something meaningful about the human condition — the very distant past, the very edgy present. I don’t see a sickening amount of academic jargon or political cant, either. From archaeology to the nuvo-est of new media.

No legal scholarship, either.  What a breath of fresh air.

I wonder if he packs heat like Indiana Jones.

Haha! You tricked me. I thought you meant this Michael Shanks. Now I know why the picture didn’t seem right.

  2. He is a man who does something on television, your Mr. Shanks?

Television … I fear your world.

Are you talking smack about the warm, hypnotic, blue-green glow of the education box?

  4. Shh. I’m an intellectual now. New media, yes. TV? No way.
